Request: Make fame trade-able
call me weird but i dont like fame. i don't like 10k of fame lying idle on my UI, taking space from more important title such as Canthan Exploration percentage, Gladiator Title Track and Number of chest opened title track. i think that fame sucks and i want them off my account.
and one way of making this happen is making fame tradeable so i can divide amongst 10 rank zero players 10k of fame, thus making them rank 6~
yea, 10 rank 6 players from one guy blessed with worthless fame. and even i gained my fame playing "balanced" HA (is it really RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing balanced coz the HA balanced players sold their account and heard their friends cry coz theyve quit) or spikes (bloodspike, ranger spike), i still think fame is useless.
or i can sell fame too say 1k a pop. so make that 10 million gold if i completely sold my fame. i can get all my chars FoW armor and good weaps and even survive easily in future chapters (buy skills and cool armor).
so ya make fame trade-able. but the titles and emote shouldn't be dependent on the numbersm should you wish to trade your fame. say even i sold all of my fame, ill still be rank 10 and can summon my iway tiger. BUT, if i wanna promote to rank 11, i have to gain all of my fame lost through trading and continue grinding or buying fame and more fame to rank 11, rank 14, rank 5434.
so what do you think, should be fame trade-able? (SAY YES!)

I totally agree buddy.
Also I think we should be albe to sell guild rank and faction points.
Another idea is to implent the game some back acc infos so that we can easily trade (implenting it on the trade interface) those things for real money, not just ingame virtual gold. This will also reduce the grinding - no need to grind for gold just to buy rank when you wire some money on instant.

This would make it so that fame means nothing. Everyone will be rank 6 or higher. Heck, why not take out rank/fame altogether then? It wouldn't mean anything if you could trade/sell fame.

And while we're at it, let's all just take obvious joke topics seriously.

if they made it tradeable it would be worthless. the point of fame is to show that you are a good team player. if everyone has rank 10 theres really no point.

Yes it does. If you're rank 0, 0 fame, you have no experience in HoH, no experience playing on the maps, no skill in the strategy needed to win (when to cap, etc)
/not signed...unless emotes of fame that was bought were different than fame earned

Unless its a new second account....
Sucked when I left behind my second account with 120+ fame and started over on my other account with 0 fame. Took even longer to get rank 3. I pretty much abandoned my account with all the fame because my other account had the collectors edition and with buyable character slots I only needed one account from now on.

Awww, you're killing me with the jokes. Heroes Ascent is nowhere nearly as much strategy as some want it to be. It's random arena with doubled ego. You don't need any skill to win HA. Just bring a cookie cutter build and roll in the fame.
You don't need to know ANYTHING about the maps to succeed there. You don't need to know anything about the build you come up against, others have done that for you. All you have to do is fire up google, search a build and get your rank/fame asap by simply copying it. Aww man, and you really are telling me there is skill in HA?
Maybe one or two groups have skill. Fine, i can accept that but you'll see alot more competition in GVG than you will EVER face in HA. HA is noobfest. HA is the cookie cutters place. HA is the "T-Space" Place.

Well the point of fame was to show how much experience one had in HA. If a new player can just buy it all from someone who has all the experience, that sort of defeats the purpose of awarding fame in the first place.

This is true. When I said the point of fame was to represent experience gained in HA, I was implying Anet's dream version and not what may happen in reality. The guys who want to buy Fissure Armor and ask where the Forgemaster is and what does FoW stand for are priceless.

Absolutely horrible idea.
Despite the incessant mass complaining from newbies, fame currently means something.
To make it tradeable to other players would make it mean absolutely nothing.
Although to have an NPC who buys fame off your account at a fixed price always (should be 1k at least per fame point), yet other players can never buy it or acquire it off other players or NPCs at all - that would be a good idea for those who want to sell their fame.
